Flange manufacturing process
1.Raw material preparation: Select carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy and other metal materials and cut them into round steel or steel slabs of corresponding sizes.
2.Forming: Flange blanks are made by forging (forging to improve strength), casting (casting, suitable for complex shapes), rolling (welding of steel plates, suitable for large-sized flanges) or cutting (direct cutting of steel plates, suitable for low-pressure and small sizes).
3.Machining: Turning (machining sealing surfaces and bolt holes), drilling (drilling bolt holes), and milling (trimming end faces) the blank to ensure dimensional accuracy.
4.Surface treatment: galvanizing, chrome plating, painting, passivation, plastic spraying, etc. according to requirements to prevent corrosion and improve appearance.
5.Quality inspection: Check dimensional accuracy, sealing surface flatness, material composition, and high-pressure flanges require water pressure/air pressure testing to ensure performance compliance.
